Kohala Ditch Co-op, Incorporated (“KD Coop”) was incorporated in February 2019 as a for-profit Consumer Cooperative Association under the laws of the State of Hawaii. For simplicity and ease of management, KD Coop is NOT a federal tax exempt 501(c)(3) charitable entity, nor is it a non-profit. It is a member-owned business, organized on a cooperative basis, whose purpose is to provide reliable, low cost, non-potable water service from Kohala Ditch to the Cooperative’s members.

Kohala Ditch Co-op’s responsibility is limited to Kohala Ditch only; its responsibility does NOT include any pipeline connected to Kohala Ditch. Pipelines are the kuleana and responsibility of the users of the pipelines.
